*** Herb's Holds Off Chapman

May 4th, 2019

Shoeless Cullen Sheridan picked up the win with an effeicient mound performance last night; he helped himself out at the plate with a walk, hit and run scored.  Hammering Lucas Clausen lead the way offensively with 2 extra base hits and 4 RBI's.  It was all 2's for Tony the creation of devastation Dorzinski, who had 2 hits, 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored;  Luke the Rock Johnson reached safely in all his plate appearances, and picked up the save.  Chapman never said die, battling back every inning; Sweet Feet Roberts and Nico The Velvet Fog Lupia combined on the mound to limit Herb's to 8 runs.  Chapman's bats were hot, though, and Sweet Feet is leading the Chapman sluggers, batting 1.00 through 3 games.  Preston Wicked Cool Wickham reached safely for his first hit of the season.  Seth the Cat Stevens hit a laser in the 6th with a man on 2nd, but Shoeless Sheridan was there, flashing leather, and doubled off the 2 Chapman players.  Drew The Deuce Witchley recorded his first hit in the Big Leagues as Herb's held on for the victory.
