*** All Star Updates!

July 10th, 2017

Congrats to all of our All Star Teams!  This has been one of the best seasons that Whitestown Little League has had in many years!  With all of the situations that we had to endure in the regular season with rain, make up games, school functions and other situations that have occured, our Program has overcome all of the obstacles to reach tremendous goals!  The credit goes to the kids who had to battle with all of the above but never lost sight of competing and giving great attitude and effort!

The A All Star team won a district banner by going 7 and 0 in the All Star Tournament and won 11 to 7 vs Utica to win a banner and the NYS District 10 Championship.  The C All Star team won a district banner by going 5 and 1 in the All Star Tournament and won 13 to 3 vs Tri County to win a banner and the NYS District 10 Championship.  The B All Star team finished 3rd out of 6 teams and scored 17 runs tonight in the last inning of their game!

The A's will play up in Plattsburgh tomorrow at 5:45 pm for a single game elimination to go to the Section Tournament and the C's will play in West Utica at 5:45 pm for a single elimination game to go to the Section Tournament.  Please come out to support our players as this is not a win for the teams but a win for our Program!  All of the hard work pays off and you can see the results from the regular season tranfer into the All Star Tournament Play!

I would like to say congrats to Utica and Tri County for a great season as well and their hard work to get to the Championship games.  We appreciate all of the great sportsmanship that those two teams showed along with all of the other teams we played along the way at all 3 levels!

This has been a great season for Whitestown & Marcy/Deerfield who teach and coach their players the correct way in order to succeed at the next level.  You saw that this season with the Whitesboro Baseball Program at the Varsity level by reaching the NYS Final Four, the Junior Varsity and Modified Program that only lost 3 combined games.  The Whitestown Legion Program is also having a great season and is still not finished at the Senior and Junior levels.

All of the hard work, dedication and preparation pays off and it all starts with the Whitestown Little League and Marcy/Deerfield Little League Programs.  Every season both Programs have great outings and compete at the highest levels, while being successful.  Kudos to both Whitesboro Little League Programs!

Hopefully more to come!  Thank you parents for all of your support and trust in our leagues and of course I would be remissed if I did not give a great THANK YOU to our coaches who not only in All Stars but in the regular season volunteer their time to make our players better young men and women!  The Program is going in a great direction.

With that said, our Minor League Program is in the Finals in the East Utica Minor League tournament and will play Wed Night at East Utica at 6pm for the Championship vs East Utica.  Marcy/Deerfield put up a great showing by winning and losing tonight but they did very well and us at Whitestown say a great Congrats to M/D!!!  Our Minor League Programs play each other throughout the season to get better baseball competition and this season was a great success at the Minor A and Minor B levles for both WT and M/D!
